A Yummy Treat

Published by apegram at 9:28 pm under 1 Edit This

Awhile back, I came across this recipe for chocolate pretzel rings.  I made them for a party, and people really gobbled them up.  So, for tomorrow’s Easter get-together with family, I decided to make them again.  What I really like about the recipe is that there are so many variations!  Of course, it’s super fast and easy too which is a definite plus. All  you need are M&M’s, pretzels, and chocolate kisses.  I decided to use spring M&M’s, Snyder’s pretzel Snaps, and dark chocolate kisses.  There are so many other things you could try besides what I used.  M&M’s- use seasonal colors, try a different flavor like peanut or dark chocolate, get them personalized. pretzels- you can use the round or square pretzels.  The first time I made these, I accidentally bought butter pretzels, but I thought they were really good! chocolate kisses- experiment with the peanut, dark, or milk chocolate flavors.  You could also use Rollo candies.  Directions:   Preheat oven to 275 degrees.  Place a chocolate kiss on each pretzel and heat in the oven for 2-3 minutes. Press a M&M on top of each chocolate kiss.  Chill in the fridge until set.  These would also make great teacher gifts!  Use personalized M&M’s, and put them in a decorative tin or on a pretty plate.
