A Little About Me

Published by apegram at 8:13 pm under journal Edit This

I’ll start by writing a little about me and what I hope to write about.  I’m a former elementary school teacher who now stays at home with my 2 girls- ages 3 years and almost 1 year.  My 3 year old has recently been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, so I’ve been doing a lot of research on the disease and all the different treatment options.  I’m told it’s pretty unusual for a child her age to have Crohn’s.  Alternative treatments seem like a possibility, so I’ll be looking into that and sharing what I discover.  I love to cook, and I’m always looking for healthy recipes especially if my 3 year old will eat it!  So, pretty much I’m interested in healthy living, ideas for entertaining toddlers, and parenting adventures.  I must say, we have a lot of drama around here some days.  Throw in a dog that is super hyper, and it makes for a lot of  funny stories. I could write about my shopping excursion today.  It was pretty tame, considering I picked the one cart without a seatbelt which I really needed for the 1 year old.  I know, not very safe, but after getting  Jadey Bug (our nickname for the 3 year old)  all situated, I didn’t feel like getting her back out again.  Besides, she doesn’t do well with change, even something so seemingly insignificant as changing carts. Anyway, I ended up buying a pre-made Easter basket.  I had lofty goals of putting together my own Easter baskets for the girls.  But then I saw the already wrapped basket with the princess crown and wand, and I just couldn’t resist.  Well, maybe next year…
